A completely innovative protective device for use on Via Ferrata routes. The Y-construction enables both Via Ferrata karabiners to be clipped in at the same time for maximum safety- recommended by the UIAA. The new tape construction weighs only half of that used in conventional systems utilising rope and a metal break.
A further excellent feature of great advantage is the new karabiner locator which holds the karabiner in the correct position at all times. Because of the tape construction the need for a shock absorbing rope length is eliminated.
All those features make the Edelweiss shock absorber an absolut convenient assembly.
